About Layn
A small Bahraini atelier, est. 2021.
Layn began in May 2021 with a handful of summer dresses photographed against a white wall in Manama, and a promise: to make few pieces, and to make them properly.
Five years and thirteen collections later the promise has not changed. Most of what you see here is sewn after you order it, in our atelier in Bahrain, by the same small team.
We work with velvet, satin, linen and jacquard, and we finish by hand: the braid at a neckline, the tassel at a cuff, the name on your gift tag.
Ten percent of every order goes to an ongoing charity in memory of Khawla Mohammed Al Nashwan.
The box
Cream card, printed tissue, a wax seal with the L, and a tag written by hand. Opening a Layn order should feel like receiving a gift, even when it is from you to you.
